Bibione Beach Volley Marathon 2026

In 2026, the Bibione Beach Volley Marathon will take place from May 13 to 15. As every year, thousands of beach volleyball enthusiasts will gather on Bibione’s sands for the ultimate open-air volleyball experience.

Location: The tournament courts are set up on the beach, next to the Villaggio Turistico Internazionale.

Accommodation: The organizer offers a variety of accommodation options, which can be booked online during tournament registration. The minimum stay is 2 nights. Available options include Holiday Villages, Residences, Apartments, Aparthotels, and Hotels.

Getting there: The nearest airports are Venice Marco Polo and Treviso.

Over 100 players have already registered for the Kontra Albania Camp, which takes place about two weeks before the Bibione Beach Volley Marathon 2026. You can join too, train with top coaches, and take part in afternoon tournaments and games. The camp is scheduled during the May long weekend, from April 25 to May 2.

We offer accommodation in a seafront hotel just an 8-minute walk from the courts. Two meals per day (breakfast and dinner) are included.

During the camp, you will enjoy a total of 7 professional training sessions and 4 different tournaments.

The tournament features six categories:

• 2×2 Men

• 2×2 Women

• 2×2 Mixed

• 3×3 Men

• 3×3 Women

• 4×4 Mixed

Athletes are allowed to participate in multiple categories. Each category is played over two days: a qualification day followed by the final day.

The Bibione Beach Volley Marathon has grown from a small local tournament in the mid‑1990s to one of the world’s largest open beach volleyball events. The first edition in 1996 featured only about 100 teams, but over the decades the competition expanded dramatically, regularly attracting thousands of players from Europe and beyond.

By the 2018 and 2019 editions, around 2,500–3,000 teams and over 10,000 athletes were competing on more than 250 courts set up along Bibione’s sandy shore. In recent years, the event has evolved into a massive sporting festival: the 29th edition in 2024 saw about 2,500 teams racing in nearly 11,000 matches across 300 fields, with around 14,000 participants and even dedicated Beach ParaVolley categories that include players with and without disabilities.

The 2025 Marathon celebrated its 30th year, bringing over 20,000 beach volleyball fans together for more than 10,000 games, solidifying its reputation as a highlight of the international beach volleyball calendar.
